| Trade with Australia Suppliers |
With India emerging on a global scale, Australia’s trade with India has been on an upward spiral. In fact in between 2001 to 2007, Australian exports to India increased by almost 30 percent. In 2008-09, total trade between two countries increased by almost 60.3 percent. Today, India is Australia’s fastest ever export market
With Australia being the largest supplier of energy and resources in the world, the increase in demand for energy and resources in India is driving Australian suppliers to India. Simply put, the Australian suppliers are more than willing to address India’s coal technology and liquefied natural gas requirements. Australia and India is also looking forward to collaborate in the areas of mining, mining safety, environmental management and efficiency of resource extraction. For the record, Australia has apparently clocked 17 successive years of economic growth, with the IMF World Economic Outlook pointing out that despite global financial crisis, Australia is the only developed economy to register positive growth in 2009. |
